Home About Us
New Manna Baptist Church desires to be an Old fashioned, Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church. We have made these conscious choices based on convictions born from the Word of God. The Baptist Distinctives, (the Bible as our soul authority, autonomous-independent churches, born again church membership, baptism by immersion of believers only, soul liberty, religious freedom), and the fundamentals of the faith (virgin birth, virtuous life, vicarious death, victorious resurrection, visible return) are both important and sacred. Furthermore, we have decided, by the Grace of God, to remain an Old-time church in our worship. We would love to have you visit in any or all of our services or special events.

New Manna Baptist Church began on March 6, 1977 with 23 present for Sunday School. From starting the first Sunday in the little log cabin on West Fort Street, Marion North Carolina, to Park Avenue, and on to our present location on East Court Street, we have grown from 23 to over 600 in attendance, with a record attendance of over 2,500.

Our church's main purpose has always been to:
1) exalt the Savior,
2) evangelize the sinner, and
3) edify the saints.

We have an out-reach program which includes rest home and hospital visits, prision ministry, street preaching and soul winning, and door to door visitation.

Each Spring New Manna hosts a large gathering of young people from all over the United States. This is called our Spring Youth Rally, it is usually attended by over 50 churches. The New Manna Youth Camp , located on Lake James, began in 1987. Each summer we have about 30 churches represented at camp, with many souls saved, rededications to the Lord, young men called to preach, and young men and women called to the mission field. In 1991 the "Bread From Heaven Bookstore" opened, beside our church. We are McDowell County's only supplier of Christian materials. The New Manna Christian School was started in August of 1995.

We have come this far trusting in the Lord and we know that He will be faithful to see us through the years to come. Psalm 34:8 says "O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him."
