Sunday School
We have Sunday school every week for every age group where people can learn about God and how He wants us to live our lives. The Sunday school program is a vital teaching arm of the Church and it gives us a great place to fellowship and to serve with other believers.
There are classes for all age groups available and also special classes geared towards specific phases of our Christian lives. We welcome you to all our classes and look forward to meeting you there and learning and growing together.
Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry of New Manna Baptist Church has seen the Lord do many great and wonderful things. They meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 for Teen Service. This allows the teens to hear preaching geared towards their environment. Also at 10:00 each Sunday Morning, the church offers Teen Sunday School for young people ages 12 to 18.
Bro. Jason and Bro. Josh Jarrett teach the Young Men and Sis. Trisha, Mrs. Krause and Mrs. Styles teach the Young Ladies. Each week, the teens have various events such as Teen Soul Winning, Teen Night at the Garner's House, Youth Choir Trips and Teen outings.
Outreach & Bus Ministry
The Bible commands us as Christians and as a church to go out and compel them to come in. "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23
For over 25 years hundreds of children, adults and families have been provided transportation to church each week through the bus ministry. Many of these children are underprivileged and the love of Christ that they receive through the bus ministry is the highlight of their week. This ministry is staffed by dozens of volunteer Christians who love people.
Children's Ministry
New Manna Baptist Church is blessed to not only have adults and workers who have a heart for our younger generation, but also an inspiring group of 80 to 90 children between the ages of 4 through 6th Grade. These are kids who love and worship God and meet together each Wednesday night @ 7pm for a service especially for them.
Each week there is singing, prizes, fun and games, followed by teaching and preaching from the word of God. We have a children's choir, annual harvest fest and many more.
Special Citizen's Ministry
New Manna Baptist Church has been blessed to have served the group homes of McDowell County. We offer services to those citizen that may require special attention due to having a physical or mental disability.
We average over 50 per service and the spirit of God meets with us on a regular basis. Every year we are blessed as we have a Christmas program presented to the church by this ministry.
Singles Ministry
An important part of every local church is the single population. Singles have unique ministry opportunities therefore it is imperative that they are regularly encouraged and utilized in the ministry of the church.
At New Manna there are numerous opportunities to serve the Lord and if you happen to be single, you will surely find a home and purpose here.
Media Ministry
If you want to expand your ministry in this modern era, A well organized and properly equipped media department is essential. New Manna's church services are streamed over a number of outlets including Facebook, Ustream & YouTube. This gives us the ability to share the gospel in just about every corner of the world and brings great opportunity as well as great responsibility. Being much more than just keeping the microphones working, the media departments responsibilities also include audio/video recording, website management, sermon content display and much more.
